Pregnant.

Pregnant. Wish I'd been blogging about it after I found out, rather than just sleeping. And sleeping and sleeping.

So, at 33 weeks I am having many minor panic attacks about IMPENDING PARENTHOOD although am also somewhat excited. When I'm not freaking out.

Mostly eating healthy, with the occasional day-of-weakness (or 3, in this case) that is filled with slurpees, candy, chocolate bars, chips and wonderful fudgsicles. I love fudgsicles.

Also being horribly mocked by everyone for my intention to use cloth diapers. Yes I do hate laundry. Yes it will be a little more work. But the benefits, to earth and baby, should outweigh the drawbacks (I HOPE!).

Too much coffee. Not enough sleep.

All in all, a pretty standard Monday.

A rather unfortunate weekend, overall. Boyfriend got drunk and smashed up his beloved project truck that he's been working on for years. Needless to say boyfriend almost wasn't, anymore.

Went to a giant shop party with him, his friends, and family. Went home & to bed about one, as I love sleep. Boyfriend was planning on sleeping at his parents though and stayed on. Until five thirty when he decided he wanted to come home. Crashed a mile or so down the road. Called me, and I came out to get him. Got there and he wasn't leaving until his brother woke up and they went to rescue the truck. Former beau of his was rubbing his back.

I had a silent hissy, and went home to pack, but was very tired so decided to sleep for an hour. Woke up at ten, not so mad. Picked boyfriend up, had many serious discussions.

Ended the day with Nascar and wonderful quality time.

Blender Wars

While embarking upon my dog food making adventure, I found out that the veg etc needed to be very small, so she can digest it. As BOTH of my food processors have yet to be unpacked, and I have no idea as to whose shed they are in, I blenderized. So, the resulting baby food like mush gets easily disguised by the meat etc and she eats it. I, however, have not battled with the blender for a few years now, and decided as I have past expertise in this area, to help things along by prodding with a plastic (see, I have learned...) spoon.

Needless to say, mush on the ceiling, floor, stove, microwave...and in my hair, on my face, in my eyes, on my clothes...

And Auz absolutely refused to help out by self-cleaning the floor. Cow.

Brightside:
Saw good girlfriend, "No longer Desperately Single #1" with best man friend, "Also no longer Desperately Single #2" as they are now dating.

Which is weird. And uncomfortable. Fun threesome turned into "I'm a Third Wheel of the First Degree as boyfriend is always working."

And while we had good intentions of getting loser pissed, we are old now and were home by 9.30. Gah.

Quilting. Dammit.

Have been working on a large, complicated (for me, anyways) quilt. For my oldest friend's wedding. That happened two months ago. Dammit. Deadline #2 is approaching, with a visit coming up IN A WEEK and I am not even half finished. SHITSHITSHIT. However it is looking much better than it did. I am slightly further than just a ton of pinwheels. Mostly I have been walking Auz rather than quilting. And playing ball. And ranting about the liberals and how everyone should vote for the conservatives. Or, at least, vote. And making her dog food from scratch. And posting the recipe to the internet for all to enjoy. And facebooking. And making dinner and going for beer and wings. But not having relations.

So, tonight & this weekend I am BUCKLING DOWN.

I'll let you know how it goes.

I think I am turning into an old maid with an old boyfriend that is too tired to do it anymore.

Maybe it was my younger sister pointing out (as soon as I started dating a new man friend, post divorce) that "Your eggs are aging, you know." Cow.

Or maybe it was the insane amount of sex that we used to have. And did have when we went on vacation last month.

Possibly just that he works upwards of 12 hours every day and is just too tired.

It is probably just that we go to bed and...go to sleep.

I am too young for this. I'm freaking out.

Home made dog food

Got manic yesterday and decided to start making Auzzie's food (2.5 year old Boston Terrier).

1/2 C green beans
1/2 C squash
1 C fresh spinach
1/2 C fresh carrots
1/2 C canned mixed beans
1/4 C blueberries
500 g (about 1 package) lean ground beef (can alternate chicken, lamb etc)
1 C brown rice
2 C water
1 egg
2 tbsp canned salmon
2 tbsp plain yogurt (or cottage cheese)

Cook all of the veggies, except for the spinach and blueberries, at 350 for 25-30 mins and then puree everything including the spinach and blueberries.

Cook the beef at med/high on the stove, until brown.

Bring the rice and water to a boil, simmer for 40 minutes, allow to cool.

Combine 1/3 veggie mix, 1/3 rice, 1/3 meat. Add salmon, yogurt, and egg to the food on a daily basis when you feed your dog. Store separately, either in the fridge or freezer. You may have to supplement with brewer's yeast if it is always frozen.
